meet the family

Our story begins in 1995, when Frank and Katherine first met while working at Tutto Bene. From there, a life filled with love, food, and community took shape. We opened Bacchus in 1997, got married in 1999, and welcomed our son Dominic in 2001.

The journey continued with starting ATaste of St. Croix & St. Croix Food & Wine Experience opening eat@canebay (2009–2014) Zion Modern Kitchen 2014, Un Amore (2015–2020) and The Hill Club at Estate Lowry Hill. Each chapter shaped by passion, creativity, and a deep connection to St. Croix.

In 2023, Dominic graduated top of his class from the Institute of Culinary Education and—after traveling and training—returned home to join us in the kitchen. In 2024, our shared dream became a reality: Cheese & Bread was born.

Rooted in family and driven by flavor, Cheese & Bread is a culmination of our years of love, hospitality and feeding St. Croix.
